Why Sensory Play: Not just for the kiddos anymore!!

The use of sensory play can help non-Autistics as well as many of those that are Autistic or have other causes for their sensory seeking or sensory aversions. Overall, it can assist any child really, with touching, smelling while playing with textures in a safe environment that holds little expectation.

After so long the child can build trust in the situation, the people involved and the understanding of the new textures- helping to build new constructive pathways encouraging the child and their brain the new texture if “safe”.

This can relate to foods, smells, touching, or tasting. And all too often but overlooked is hearing.  Today we are focused on touch and smell.

Sensory play supports development in language, cognitive growth, fine and gross motors skills, problem-solving skills, and other social interactions.

Why Bath Paint?

Crayola Bath Soap Vs Bath Crayons

While the Crayola Crayons are great for getting fine motor skills going, some children can find it hard to handle them in the bath, while others may have PICA (eating habits). Often the Crayola Bath Paint Soap can help the child learn to wash/self-care.
